We lived in Cancun’s hotel zone for 9 months—not on the glitzy, crowded strip but rather on a quiet residential cul-de-sac that allowed us to become familiar with the neighborhood cats. Becoming acquainted, of course, meant naming them, feeding them, and providing veterinary medicine as required.
