Laughing because the billboard was the only indication we were at the equator! No worries, we knew where we were! (apparently there’s a line and sign now on the highway indicating the equator).

A busy coastal town in the northern part of the country. We were barely noticed by residents going about their business. Being ignored was actually refreshing in comparison to the ‘fishbowl’ feeling experienced on travels elsewhere.

SNAKE!
Encountered a (big) brightly colored snake on a highway—thankfully being the only motorists in sight gave us time to ‘shield’ the snake with our car, letting it cross to safety in the long grass. What a beauty! (I could say that from the protection of the car).
