TORONTO AIRPORT – DELAY
Prolonged our hotel check-out as long as possible and hung around the hotel lobby even longer before the airport shuttle dropped us off 3 hours in advance of departure! Well, so we thought…the SATA (formerly known as Azores Airline) agent informed us of our flight’s delay in departure—from 08:30 PM to 02:30 AM! Our 3 hour wait grew to 9 hours, making it the longest delay we’d encountered upon arrival at an airport—at least this airport was large! The Tom Hanks’ movie came to mind where unforeseen circumstances prolonged his airport stay but fortunately we were permitted to depart, albeit zombie-like!
